STRUCTURES

Humans build things. We build things to live in. We build things to play in. Often we build things that do more than just serve their function. We add details to make them our own. We place them in positions that please us. We place them in positions to displease others. Sometimes they have no function at all. Sometimes, we build things purely for a function but, over time, they take on new meanings, undergoing transformations by acquiring new layers, through the patina of age, shifts in tastes or reclamation by nature.
