Longing for Spring

I find myself increasingly fed up with the winter months. Whilst I love a cold day, when the air is crisp and the sky is clear, all too often, the reality is grey, wet, windy and miserable, and it makes me, well, grey and miserable. We have had the brief scent of spring and the odd suggestion of warmer days, but I’m want more… I’m ready for the full experience!

I suppose it’s traditional at these times of the year, to have a tidy up and refresh the mind, so that is what I’ve been up to. Catching up with uploading things to websites and marketplaces, making sure everything that can be for sale, is for sale. Giving the website a little refresh (because apparently that’s a great way for me to procrastinate!). Thinking about what I want to achieve this year (not too much, mind, as I do tend to get bogged down in that!); trying to embrace who I am and work with that, rather than trying to force myself into a box.

Next up, I will be going through some of my older works (destroying some to reuse the wood for newer works) and scanning/photographing some new paintings that you all need to see.

I’m also working on a commission, inspired by my latest ‘Winter’ paintings, and I have a couple of design projects to work on. As always, you can keep up to date on my progress on Instagram, maybe, if the algorithm lets you see it!

Until next time…
